In addition to our current offerings, we envision expanding our program to include the following initiatives:
- Film Screenings: Regular screenings of art films and timeless classics for our members, promoting appreciation and understanding of diverse cinematic works.
- Artists’ ADDA Discussions: Facilitating engaging dialogues and forums on various art-related topics, providing a platform for artists to share their perspectives and engage with fellow creatives.
- Workshops: Organizing classes in Stained Glass, Fused Glass, and enameling on metal techniques, enabling artists to explore and develop new skills.
- Theatre Development Programs: Nurturing theatrical talent through workshops, mentorship, and collaborative projects, promoting the growth and visibility of performing arts within our community.
- Interdisciplinary Innovation and Collaboration Programs: Encouraging cross-disciplinary experimentation and partnerships, ultimately fostering an environment of creativity and exploration to inspire groundbreaking artistic works.
OUR PAST PROGRAMMES:
2001 – 2004 ART APPRECIATION awareness Program. Lecture sessions and slide show on the evolution of the Modern Indian Art, at The NOOK, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi.
2005 – 2008 ART APPRECIATION awareness Programme. Lecture sessions and slide show on the similarities and differences in the evolution of Modern Art in India and the west.
2010 -2011 – The contemporary art exhibition in December at the Defence gallery was Curated by Vijay Kowshik. It comprised works by promising young artists from all over India and was very well received.
The major exhibition in October 2010 on the essence of Gandhi Ji was curated by Vijay Kowshik and was very well received. Timothy Roamer the then American Ambassador in fact wanted to acquire one sculpture of Gandhi Ji from the show for the American President Obama who was expected to come after a few days on a visit to India. Though this happened to be not for sale,
The Exhibition in January 2010, at the initiative of Vijay Kowshik, at the Nook Artist Gallery at Triveni Kala Sangam was organised to show the Art Ceramic works of various Indian artists and was very well received.
A number of residency programs were conducted with junior artists at our erstwhile facility near Suraj Kund, Faridabad, NCR Delhi, India. Now we are aiming to expand the focus in the Himalayas with a focus on environment.
2012 – Enamel painting workshop on enameled plates with young artists at the ARTS Centre, Faridabad.
2013 – Weekly painting workshop with women and slum children at the ARTS Centre, Faridabad.
2014 – Exhibition of Paintings from the residency at the ARTS Centre, Faridabad.
2015 – Restoration and conservation workshop at Pearson Palli, Santiniketan, West Bengal with kala bhavan students and art enthusiasts.
2016 – Artist Residency at Arts Centre, Faridabad supported by Arts Glacerhi. Sunboard and woodcut monoprints by young artists. “Testimony of Tolerance” Exhibition at Art Heritage, Triveni, Delhi.
2016 – Nature and Art workshop for SOS children with BHNS, Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.
2017 – An exhibition of drawings and paintings tracing the development and evolution of modern art practices In Collaboration with Arts Glacerhi and India International Centre. On view are original works by Rabindranath Tagore, Gaganendranath Tagore, Abanindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Binode Bihari Mukherjee, Ram Kinkar Baij, Jamini Roy, Asit Haldar, L.M. Sen and others. The exhibition also includes some Kalighat paintings.
The Collection of Late Sushmita Roy Tandan (1953 to 2013), from the family of Late Dr. Amiya Chandra Chakravarty (1901 to 1986) and Late Rama Chakravarty (1913 to 2011) among others.
2017 – Exhibition of J. Raj Dassani at Allahabad Museum, U.P.
2018 – Children’s Art Festival with NGMA, Delhi.
2018 – ARTS-Glacerhi in collaboration with CARENIDHI(NGO) did a workshop with the children and their parents, siblings and caregivers who had come to celebrate 20 years of their collective journey working together. Nurturing Creativity for Child Development was the focus of this workshop. We worked with clay and created different stories, and in groups we worked with them to create different objects and creatures with clay. Since the focus group of this workshop was not just the children, we worked with everyone in the room to create and share. Each individual is unique, and their interest and communication with us and each other was truly commendable.
2018 – Vitreous enameling and Flame working in Glass. In the Vitreous Enameling Workshop, We painted with glass enamel on copper and silver base earrings, pendants, other copper shapes along with enamel plates that will be fired at the end of each phase in the workshop.
2018 – “Jammu and Kashmir Exchange Immersion Visit” organized as a MHRD’s initiative of a student exchange program. Arts Glacerhi was invited by Teach For India who organized a day of music, dance, poetry, art and crafts for the children as part of their “ARTS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE” program.
2019 – Remembering Dinkar Kowshik – Exhibition organized with Kala Bhavan Practoni and Birla Academy of Arts and Culture, Kolkata, West Bengal. An Exhibition to commemorate the birth centenary of Prof. Dinkar Kowshik featuring his teachers, associates and students.
2019 – Contextualizing Progressives – A study of the evolution of Indian Art from different regions of the country at Kamala Devi Hall, India International Centre, New Delhi.
2019 – Organized an exhibition of paper pulp artworks by Kirti Chandak at India International Centre, Delhi.
2019 – Interactive Camp of Tribal, Folk and Contemporary Artists (Artists from North East, Himachal Pradesh and other hill states). This was done in collaboration with Lalit Kala Akademi. Supported by DC, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.
2020 – During the 2nd wave of the pandemic in India, Arts Glacerhi and Woodland Society organized an awareness program in the villages nearby Andretta, Himachal Pradesh about the pandemic, precautions for their own welfare. Kits were distributed to those who were isolating and in need of medical assistance. We worked with local doctors, medical officers and Asha workers to generate immediate response participation and involvement for those in need.
2021 – Art-Therapy workshop for women and children organized by ARTS GLACERHI in Andretta, Himachal Pradesh.
2022 – ARTS-Glacerhi in collaboration with CARENIDHI(NGO) did a painting workshop with the children and their parents, siblings and caregivers who had come to celebrate their annual exhibition on Nurturing Creativity for Child Development at Karkardooma, CARENIDHI head office.
2023 – Puppet making workshop during the salyana mela period to revive the mela narrative with children of Andretta, Himachal Pradesh.
