An Art Workshop was organized by ARTSGLACERHI for artists from Indian hill states comprising of Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur, Sikkim and Himachal. The workshop was from 23rd July to 3rd Aug 2019.
It was in collaboration with The Lalit Kala Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India (New Delhi, India) and the Govt. of Himachal through DC Chamba. The workshop was held at the Bhuri Singh Museum, Chamba. The occasion was the annual Minjar Mela at Chamba with a lot of festivities and celebrations.
The participants did paintings, sculptures (wood and terracotta) and some Himachali participants did miniature paintings. Each participant portrayed an essense of their home state and there emerged a total Indian experience of the Hill states. It was a very rewarding experience for the participants as well as the people who experienced the works being created and the final show.
