Bhaago Bhaago Smog Aaya – WORKSHOP WITH NGMA

A day long workshop as part of NGMA organized Children’s Art Festival. We worked with the children on creating a storyline with paint and long pieces of cloth, where we drew our attention to the rising smog in the city. We discussed the burden that smog has become for all the trees in the city. We imagined what the trees would do if they could move, and we decided that the trees and the people who love trees and nature would run away from the smog. The slogan was co-created with the participants in the workshop and once the paintings and discussions were done, we installed them on two big masks. We then marched around the INDIA GATE with all the children, their parents, some passerby and shouted out loud “bhaago bhaago smog aaya”. The day ended with all the children realizing the impacts of pollution to their everyday lives.
