The primary goal of our residency program is to foster a creative environment where artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines can engage in a dynamic exchange of ideas and inspiration. By facilitating interactions among artists from various fields and countries, we aim to spark innovation, encourage cross-disciplinary collaborations, and cultivate a unique space for artistic expression and growth.
- Glass Kilns: Our facility is currently equipped with glass kilns and basic finishing tools to cater to various glasswork projects.
- Etching Press: A 6 ft x 3 ft etching press is available on-site, allowing artists to explore techniques such as dry point and others.
- Painting: We provide easels and canvases, while additional painting supplies can be easily sourced as needed.
- Ceramics: Our studio offers two ceramic wheels, clay, and the means to procure other essential ceramic materials.
- Bronze Casting: A bronze casting furnace is under construction, enabling artists to utilize the lost wax process for castings.
- Papier Mâché: This versatile medium is accessible at our facility, presenting an effective form of artistic expression.
- Sculpture: We have dedicated spaces for wood carving, stone carving, and sheet metal sculptures, offering a range of sculptural techniques and materials.
- Exhibition: Upon the completion of the residency, we propose organizing an exhibition at the centre to showcase the artists’ works. Furthermore, we can curate and arrange additional exhibitions in urban areas like Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh and semi-urban areas like Dharamshala to expand the reach and impact of the art produced during the residency.
